Mike, you just outdid yourself. Do you organize seminars on model cars picture-taking at your place? I'd be the first one to go! ;)
ReplyDeletethanks Sir Laurent! :-)
ReplyDeletethat seminar is a great idea but i will attend also just to learn hehe! still an amateur when it comes to digital photography, my 2 lamps and my colored board papers are the ones that does the trick. :-)
...yes, but they do the trick PERFECTLY! At least I could learn how you manage an artificial source of light. Since I moved I have trouble with natural light and consider switching to artificial. Seriously, the last two sets of pictures were just fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI do love your backgrounds too, but why don't you try putting some kind of garage there? That would be relevant in the most cases of your featured models.
ReplyDeleteCheck it here:

another rally car EVO added to your collection, congrats Mike! Love your photos too! =)
ReplyDeletesir Laurent, I just use 2 flourecent light and added some tracing or parchment paper covering the front part of the lamp so that the brightness wouldn't be to harshe on the models. Try it sometime. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rajen for the link on the garage, am planning to make one maybe at the end of the year when I am not too busy. I do have other dioramas for my models and have outside location shots too, but this colored backgrounds does the trick when I am in a hurry.
Thanks again Jovet for appreciating! :-)
So to screen your light with parchment paper is the trick... Thanks a lot, I'll try that.
ReplyDeleteI usually use direct sunlight when taking photos of my cars....
ReplyDeleteYou have a very nice idea on how you take your's ("Yan ang PINOY....ASTIG"), maybe I can use it one of this days thank you for sharing....
Nice EVO too...
yes sir Laurent, make sure that the wattage of your bulb is a little higher because placing parchment paper will darken your lamp a bit.
ReplyDeletegoodluck :-)
thanks Mervin, when I am in the mood, I go for outside shots as well, but most of the times when I am too busy, thats the easiest way hehe!
Nice car ! VEry nice pictures ! I have to learn with you how take pictures of diecast!
