A 1:43 scale 1973 Cadillac Eldorado Hardtop

This is my second project in assembling a hand built 1:43 scaled car for my friend Vic. This model has less parts than the first one I built way back, but same care and preparation was made.


Sanding and removing excess metal molds and 3 days to let the primer dry well before applying the first coat of paint. It took 2 coats of metallic blue paint and 3 coats of top coat to make this Caddy shine, and polished it with a hobby rubbing compound did the job. Small details where added next, one thing I am disappointed with was the corner lights where made of decals and not plastic chrome, making the corner lights a bit dull. One more thing, no logo decals where provided by the manufacturer for the hub caps which would have made it look better.
