Hotwheels Ford Escort Rally Custom

My friend Jerome gave me this as a gift, I was looking for one to convert since I really don't like how this escort was designed with the wrong rear wing, but loved those night lamps!

So I got busy with it, stripped the paint, removed the rear wing on the roof, and placed putty to cover the holes that where left. Looked around for some rear wing and luckily found one that does not need any alterations.

this 1:18 scale Ford Escort Rally car was my guide in making my 1:64 version.

and since I haven't have access yet in producing my own decals, I decided to make mine in plain body version. Adding new wheels with real rubber tires and rhinestones to accent those beautiful night lamps.

here it is... The Hotwheels Ford Escort Night Version Rally Car.

  1. haha, glad to see someone correct the wrongly mounted rear wing! not only the rear wing is wrong, but the panel lines are too deep and the body is casted too curvy. bad job by hot wheels. :-(

that said, good work refitting a new rear wing, it looks much better already. :-) will definitely look better after you are able to add some decals over the not so well moulded body too. :-)

  2. hi Eugene! yup all the wrong things went to casting this Escort, I would've covered the extra bodylines with putty but I was a little lazy that day hahaha! About the decals, I might leave it this way, I have another rally version in complete livery already, i just need to look for some new wheels for it. its made by Guisival in team Repsol colors.

    thanks Eugene! :)
