Yes, I'm not getting soft or anything hehe! It was just an accident that I stumbled upon the little girls section of the toy store. And after seeing these dollhouse, I imagined it would make a great scene for a diorama, I even got a matchbox car by its side, checking out the scale if it would be fit the scale.
And what do you know, I came home with 2 pcs. of doll house, with my son wondering what will I do with them hehe! The doll house cost around less than $2 each, Far more cheaper than getting Tomy towns and easier to get. I gave the small accessories that comes with the house to my niece and she was very happy with it.
This is what the doll house looked when I bought it.
Lots of color!!!!! sheeezzzz!!!

So what I did was I glued the houses in a foam board, painted the background, and bought some Latex paint and started painting the houses to make them look more real. I went to an art store and bought some trees, plants and some small figs.
and when it was finished, it looked like this...
coffee anyone??
and this is what it looks like in a helicopter view...
another angle of the diorama...

you never fail to amaze me mike. not only you customize cars, you even go to the extent of customizing the landscape. very nice paint work on the background and shops. your sense of colour is very good! this is another post that plastered a silly grin over my face.
Thanks for the kind words Eugene!:) Making this dio came out more like a necessity when I'm bored taking pictures of my small cars on white paper background. Am in the process of making another simple dio, hope to finish it soon. :)
